A Frozen Moment
The light is becoming weaker and, apparently, the small Arctic fox has experienced enough for the day. To my surprise it doesn’t run back to the mountains but instead, it climbs up onto a small chunk of ice and curls up with its nose under the bushy tail. I sit down in the snow looking first at the fox and then at the endless landscape. I feel enormously privileged. Just me and the sleeping Arctic fox. Nothing more happens - this moment is frozen while the polar night slowly descends over the Arctic.
